Creature of the Knight
03:47
|
|||
went to the door
looked on the floor
toes felt cold
looked around
then I saw something white
and it gave me
quite the fright
IT WAS A GHOST
called the police
called the nurse
called the grocery store
they didn't believe me
the didn't believe a word
thought it was absurd
THAT I SAW A GHOST

Contrast
03:43
|
|||
and i'm depicting you
in my stark contrast kind
when i mistake the Grieg for Welch's
or the grape juice for the wine
when we speak our words of poets
on a lazy-lipped night
when aying and loaning some peace to our stoning
making everything, everything alright
-
and it's almost without effort
(almost in a heartbeat)
wandering minds inches away
m(melt that contrast and sort)
melt that contrast and sort
(almost in a heart beat)
and the fluid takes its place
(its place the fluid takes)
closed eyes turn deep
when I'm searching for your core
when I ask that of the sun
and I ask that more and more
I'm playing with your conscience
and it's giving me some hints
it's raining on my thoughts
in its marvellous stints

The Beach is Alright
01:59
|
|||
the sand is hot
and it's burning my feet
I put my flip flops on
but they don't fit
the water is cold
and the waves are rough
kids are splashing me
I might throw a fit
-
yeah beach!
yeah beach!
the beach is alright
-
there's too many people
covered in sweet
I bump into them
and get all wet
playing frisbee
by the shore
throw it in the water
and now it's wet
-
sunburn on my neck!
sunburn on my back!
sunburn on my shoulders!
sunburn on my face!
sunburn on my ears!
sunburn on my chest!
sunburn sunburn sunburn....

White on White
03:37
|
|||
sometimes I fill my head
when I'm at my most sterile
like a methanol infused needle
it won't really hurt me won't really hurt me
sometimes I fill my head
with the white noise only I call music
the light from the lone street light
how it flickers how it loses power
-
brilliant white on white
-
on my head high on drugs
not on drugs on the thoughts without a map
without a landmark in a swollen trap
when I see white on white
and folly all the streetlight back
-
(watching an ink drop
as it makes its devising haloes in a tub of water
how it contorts disperses
so eloquently so disdained I took it in
all of it interpret and interpret again
on the bus, always reaching for a pen
on the bus, always reaching with intent for a pen
on the bus, always reaching with intent for my pen....)

Krinister
02:15
|
|||
time for the party to begin
the mics and amps are all plugged in
tonite I'm looking for a wild crowd
rock this beat scream real loud
everyone's whacked
everyone's cracked
all you suckers get off the wall
taste this noise that never falls
-
Krinister!
rock 'n' roll!
Krinister!
out of control!
-
after the show
I was chilling with the boys
when these ladies came up
gave me no choice but to flirt them up
as they bought me drinks
said they loved me
loved the show
talked about rocking out
in the front row
they wanted to spend time with
the four of us
so we made out
in the tour bus

Buzz
04:53
|
|||
the sensational buzz
from coffee and a good song
no why or because
nothing seems to be wrong
the morning sun's glistening over Ontario
there's no harm in listening
to a conversation on the radio
-
the streets get longer when you know where you're going
and you get stronger with you're honour of knowing
-
the bumble bee knows
he's feared and loved at the same time
he never shows
his hatred for my species' faults
the field is glistening with Queen Anne's lace
beauty concealed in the eager poet's face

Krinister Montreal, Québec
We first formed in February 2012 as a two-person group made of just myself (Arnold) and my brother Graham as a cover
band.
In the winter of 2014/2015, we started writing our debut record Inside Out and Backwards. That`s when our good friend Tyson Burger joined and agreed to play on the record. Inside Out and Backwards was released in February of that year.
